About Sullivan Coaching

Located in Croton on Hudson and with more than 25 years of experience as a School Psychologist, I have worked alongside thousands of students and families navigating the challenges of childhood and adolescence. Through this work, I have seen how powerful the right support can be in helping young people understand themselves and build the skills they need to thrive.

I am also a Certified Neurodivergent Coach, specializing in supporting students with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), learning differences, and other neurodivergent profiles. My approach recognizes that many students are not lacking motivation or effort - they often need the right strategies, structure, and understanding of how their brain works.

Through Sullivan Coaching and the Strong Inside program, we support tweens and teens in developing executive functioning skills, emotional regulation, and healthy coping strategies. Our goal is to help students build resilience, strengthen self-awareness, and navigate challenges with confidence so they can reach their full potential.

We believe that when students understand how their brain works, they gain the confidence and tools they need to feel strong inside.

The Strong Inside Parent Lab Series

Parents today are managing an enormous amount of information. Between school, social pressures, therapy recommendations, and endless online advice, it can be difficult to know what guidance truly matters. We simplify that process.

Why Emotional Regulation Gets Harder in the Tween Years

Understanding the brain is the first step toward helping children regulate emotions, recover from stress, and build stronger executive functioning skills. During the tween years, the emotional brain becomes more reactive, while the frontal lobe, the part of the brain responsible for executive functioning, is still developing. This workshop will help parents understand the brain-body connection behind emotional regulation and leave with a clear framework for helping your child navigate strong emotions more effectively.

Why Bright Kids Struggle: Understanding Executive Function

Many bright, capable students struggle not because they lack intelligence - but because they lack the executive skills needed to manage complex thinking and academic demands. In this engaging one-hour parent lab, learn how executive functions develop, why they often lag behind intelligence, and how to support your child in building the skills needed for independence and success.

Understanding Sensory Differences in Children

Many children experience the world through their senses in ways that can feel overwhelming, confusing, or intense. When parents understand how the nervous system processes sensory input, many behaviors suddenly make more sense. In this live parent workshop, we explore how sensory differences affect behavior, attention, and emotional regulation — and what parents can do to support their child.

Early Development: What to Watch For and When to Get Help

Understanding early development can feel overwhelming for parents. There is more information available than ever before-yet many families are left wondering what truly matters and when to seek support. The Strong Inside™ Early Development Parent Lab was created to help parents make sense of early childhood development in a clear, thoughtful way. In this one-hour live session, parents will learn how early brain development, sensory processing, communication, and self-regulation shape a child's ability to learn and interact with the world. Rather than focusing on isolated milestones, this lab helps parents understand the patterns of development that support long-term learning, emotional regulation, and executive functioning.
